Messy Church

Messy Church meets once a month at 3.30pm in All Saints' Church on the 4th Saturday, except for July and August .
People of all ages from all parts of Castle Cary and Ansford enjoy worshipping together,
having fun, creating things, and sharing a meal.
Each session has a theme related to a bible story, the season or a festival.
Everyone is welcome.;
Look out for posters.

In May we thought about , prayed, and enjoyed singing with actions  :-

     

 

 

 

 

 

In April we learnt about  'The still small voice'  the exciting story of Elijah in the dessert and mountain

with wind,  earthquake and fire and then...... we heard about God's plan for Elijah , and how we can listen to God's voice.

Hidden Treasure

 

Jesus uses parables to tell us that God's Kingdom is like hidden treasure or fine pearls.  We did some hunting and then learnt that the most precious treasure is knowing Jesus.  Mathew 13;44-46

On November 26th it was

Lighting up the World

      At the beginning of Advent,  we looked at  John 1 1-14

We thought about Jesus coming in to our world, into our neighbourhood, into our lives and about His Glory.

 

  on October 22nd  it was

 Messy Baptism 

         

This was a wonderful occasion when Cem and Cayder each made a commitment to put Jesus at the centre of their lives, and were baptised in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

 

 

in September it was

 The Ten Lepers

      when we learnt about remembering to say  thank you    Luke 17:11-19

 

 

 

In June we enjoyed :-

 

The Valley of Dry Bones

    A powerful story from the prophet Ezekiel (chapter 37:1-14)

 

 

 

 And in May   

 Our Worldwide Family

                                                                      As we had just celebrated Pentecost  we thought about the Gospel
                                                                                                 bearing fruit all over the world (Collossians 1 6a)

 

 In January 2016 our title was

 Past, Present and Future

         when we talked about the elderly devout Anna and Simeon when they greeted the infant Jesus in the temple. Luke2:25-38

In February we learnt about

The Last Supper

              How Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples before his betrayal and death.  Matthew 26:17-30 

 

 On 27th March it was Easter Saturday and it was the

UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH  

that Jesus is Risen!  Luke 24 1-12

 

 

 

 

 

                                            

In April it was

Two Tiny Coins 

     Luke 21:1-4  The generous widow in the Temple.

      And on 19th December we welcomed the NEW CRIB at the Market House
